Since 1976

Renaissance Studios began in the upstairs of the Carter building in 1976 with two wire music stands and four folding chairs. Today, Renaissance Studios is at home in a 19th century farmhouse in Broad Ripple Village. At 6516 North Cornell, we are right next door to The Bike Line and the Broad Ripple Brewpub. Directly across the street is the Monon Trail, a linear park busy with bicyclists, runners, and walkers.

We are family owned and operated, and offer a warm and personal atmosphere with many avenues of enrichment for individuals and families. Come see what's new outside and in!

Private Instruction
Renaissance Studios prides itself in its high quality of instructors. Private lessons for all ages are our original and primary form of instruction. Scheduling and fees are subject to individual teachers' schedules and rates. When calling for inquiries, please specify the person or instrument for which you are calling. We are open by appointment, but our general teaching hours are Monday through Thursday 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Group Instruction
Group instruction is a great way to get into music with a lower cost per lesson and the added benefit of group dynamics. If you are a beginner on an instrument and enjoy a class setting, consider our introductory instrument classes (not available for all instruments). Maybe you have always wanted to learn more about writing music. Perhaps you would like to join in playing or singing with a group. Are you unsure which instrument you want to play? Then ask about our Instrument Sampler class.
